External Ethics Advisory Board
Currently working as Associate Professor of Sociology at the Complutense University of Madrid, she has had academic posts at other European Universities. She belongs to the UCM Research Group “Digital Culture and Social Movements” and “Psychosocial Research on Social and Gender Violence”, she is an Associate Member of the Center for Transforming Sexuality and Gender at the University of Brighton (United Kingdom) and member of the international scientific network Postdigital Intimacies led by Prof.Adrienne Evans from Coventry University. She has been invited as an expert to the working group of "Towards a European Policy against Online Image-Based Sexual Abuse" at the University of Bochum (CAIS, 2024) and to the global network VisMis (Visual Misogyny) led by Prof. Ozkula of Salzburg. She is also regularly invited as research advisor at Universidad de la Frontera (Chile) and Colegio de México (Mexico). Her lines of research include human rights, sexual violence, gender sociology, media studies and social research methodology. She has conducted research on sexual violence, women's rights, political protest, migration, occupational segregation, youth and masculinities.
