
the University of the Azores (UAc) takes part in a Ciência Viva no Verão activity, organized in collaboration with Expolab, the Trans-lighthouses project, the Municipality of Lagoa, and the Kairós Association. The initiative begins at the Casa da Água, in Lugar dos Remédios, Santa Cruz, Lagoa, and consists of a guided tour along the water trail, which includes the emblematic Janela do Inferno. The route allows participants to explore tunnels and old water conduits, providing a unique experience of contact with the history, nature, and hydraulic engineering of the region. The event highlights the importance of connecting with nature and learning about the natural and cultural heritage of the Azores, in line with the objectives of the Trans-lighthouses Project, UAc, and its partner entities.
